This item is a wonderful, original document dated 1796, a manuscript log for a the Schooner Polly out of Newbury, Massachsuetts. This wonderful log, contains the accounts for a journey to the West Indies....accounting sheets, descriptive log of all work done on the Polly, and a charter describing the ship, the intent of the voyage and the liability of the voyage as well. Interesting note that David Dole, part owner of the voyage has agreed to risk against pirates, enemies and all risks of the sea....the Schooner Polly was captured by French Privateers off Guadeloupe in 1798....claimed by the French as a spoil of war.....a case which went before the French Government in 1904...never settled due to lack of proper document filing Journal is 8x16, 6 pages, all images of the log are scanned,,,,the charter is especially quite nice ..Please view the other historical and Civil War related documents I'll be listing this week.SEE SCAN.I now accept PAYPAL. I allow International bidders and will ship Internationally, usually an $8 fee. Buyer pays shipping(usually $4 within the US and $8 for International),payment must be received within 14 days. .
